A Thousand Suns

Basically, my friends and I worked together to make UNLV our b*tch, and we won 6 tickets to the Linkin Park concert tonight at the Hard Rock! Sooo excited. Tyler and I went to their concert in February and it was so sick, so we are stoked! Travis, our new friend in between June and I, is going too, and this will be his first concert ever! He gets to learn how us Vegas kids party it up :) I LOVE COLLEGE!

I LOVE COLLEGE!

Today was the first day of college and I love it!!
I only had 2 classes today, so the day flew by! Becka was in my first class with me, Com101. It seems like it's going to be a really fun class. I love public speaking :) The teacher is really tight too, he's super funny and chill. I can tell Becka is going to creep on him like she did to Stine haha.
I had nutrition later on with June, our new friend Jackie, and another new friend...whose name I can't remember. haha. Anyway, she's really nice :) We found our class and well, it was really boring! haha. All we did was go over the syllabus, but still, I couldn't sit still during it. Luckily though, we got out like 45 minutes early haha.
Afterwards, I had a job interview at Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops for Victoria's Secret. I think it went extremely well! I hope I hear back from them and get the job! :D I could really use it and I would definitely LOVE that job!!
That's pretty much all that's new with me...I love being grown-up ;)

Life is C-R-A-Z-Y!

I am sad because I'm a slacker and keep missing my Thankful Thursdays! haha I've just been SO BUSY! Wednesday and Thursday I went to Six Flags/Hurricane Harbor with Kayla, Jessie, Yesenia, Nicole, and Jimichael. It was such a fun bonding trip, and a nice way to end summer :)<3 I love them.

College starts in TWO, count 'em, TWO days! Ahh! I am soooo excited! It is going to be so fun! Yesterday was welcome day for all the new Rebels. It was a pretty fun day. I headed down there about 8:30am and met up with Erick Fedde. We went to a couple lectures together then went to get lunch and met up with everyone else. Becka, Kayla, Yesenia, Tyler, and June were there. We also made 2 new friends; Travis and Jackie :) They are both really nice. Travis is from Oregon and Jackie was from like Texas or Minnesota or something haha. I don't remember. Anyway, it got me really excited for school to start! ahh! I also went and got my books today! almost $600, good thing I got a check for $1,000 from a scholarship :) HOLLA!

I have moooore exciting news! My all time best friend JAKE ROGERS is in town for the weekend!!! We hung out yesterday and it was AWESOME! I love hanging out with him because even though we haven't talked or seen each other in months, it's seriously like nothing has changed. He is one of the coolest kids around lol. It makes me really sad that he lives so far away... but oh well, I'm glad he is such a good friend and will skype me every once in awhile, and hit me up when he comes to town :)

Ahh I wish I would update this thing more so my posts wouldn't be so long :/
Anyway, it was weird coming home from California and having no friends. ha. What I mean by that is everyone left for college this week, during the two days we were gone, and basically we came home to, well, each other. It's awesome though, I am so proud of everyone. It's been making me really sad lately that I chose not to move to Flagstaff with Luke and Jordan Parker...everything is going to be good though. It's gonna be a good year, even though I'm going to miss everyone!

Long time, no talk.

Oh my goodness, it's been awhile since I've blogged..
Umm...well I guess I can catch you up on what I've been up to lately.
Thursday, Braden Winder received his mission call! He reports to the MTC in Provo on November 30th as he prepares to serve his mission in San Antonio, Texas! The perfect place for Braden! haha. The mission is also Spanish speaking, which is awesome! He will be able to hang out in the MTC with Taylor for awhile too, so that's awesome! After Braden opened his call, I went to Eric Swenson's house for his goodbye party! It was a blast! I never played a funner game of spoons with such funny (and violent) people! After his party, I took Ronnie to Becka Dimick's house, and got so happy because I didn't have to pick Taylor up from work, so I stayed at her house and watched Jersey Shore with her, Ronnie, Carissa, Kim, and Fedde :) Then we played slapjack and Fedde had to eat a teaspoon of cinammon (which is physically impossible). It was too funny!

Then on Friday, I went to a goodbye dinner for Eric at Olive Garden with Hadley, Jessie, and Senia. After dinner we went Coning and trashbagging. SO MUCH FUN! I am going to miss Eric so much!

Friday night I went to Krave. It's a nightclub on the strip that is 18 and up on Fridays. Oh, did I mention it's a gay club? haha. That seriously made it more fun though, because gay guys are so nice, and it takes away from people trying to hit on you. Anyway, I had an amazing time! I loved just being out with my friends and dancing for hours. I went with Kayla, Ronnie, Becka, June, Carissa, Ale, and Nicole. Gooood times! They are some of the funnest people to be around. I got called beautiful numerous amounts of times by gay guys there. They are the sweetest! Kayla and I even knew one of the dancers that was on stage. He used to be in Stuco at LVA. haha.

That's foam falling on us in the picture :) It was too legit. Just a big tease making me wish I was 21 already so I could go to more clubs. Oh well.

Saturday was pretty decent. I had to work from 5pm-11pm so in the morning I went to Taylor's house and just hung out and took an afternoon nap there, since I was so tired from the night before :p haha. Then, I left for work and when I got there I was finally informed that it was my last day! It's bittersweet. I hate it there, but I need money. Oh well though. I didn't get fired for doing anything wrong really. They just have high standards and put a lot of pressure on their employees, and I guess last week they didn't like my performance, so they cut my hours...I GOT AN ENTIRE WEEK OFF. That means half a paycheck. Don't they know I have bills to pay? Anyway, I brought it to their attention and they let me go. Oh well. Hopefully though I get this job as a hostess at a restaurant because my dad is friends with the manager. I put my application in today. I also interviewed with Victoria's Secret last week, they told me they will be calling sometime next week to let me know how I did. I would definitely enjoy that job! Anyway, back to Saturday..after work Taylor came to my house and suprised me with 2 of my favorite things; Chapstick and Blue Powerade! Best boyfriend ever? Maybe...then he took me out to dinner, and since it was 12:30am, our options were limited. We went to TGI Friday's because they're open until 2am. It worked out too, because we had a thing for a free appetizer :)

Sunday was such a lovely day. I must give it to the Winders, they are the best! You see, Thursday after Braden opened his mission call, his dad sat me down for like an hour and talked to me about life. Him and I used to be really close, so it was nice to catch up. He invited me to come to church with them on Sunday, so I was polite and said sure. So, Sunday morning I picked up Taylor and him and I went to Braden's ward. The talks given that day were very nice. After Sacrament Tay and I joined Braden and Hans in Relief Society, where we couldn't help but laugh to ourselves because the teacher reminded us SO much of Mitch Cizmas! It was crazy! After 2nd hour, I went with Scout to Young Women's and she was very nice :) Everyone there was. We had a great lesson about sacrificing things for others, or to complete a goal. After church, Taylor and I went to his mom's house to have Sunday dinner with his mom, stepdad, and new step siblings and their husbands....Taylor isnt too fond of that family, but I enjoyed their company. They were so nice to me and we had great conversations! Dinner was also delicious, like always :) After dinner, Braden invited us over to his house to meet the missionaries (Braden's dad is trying to get me to convert) haha. Anyway, Taylor and I went to the Winder's home and had a lovely meeting with the missionaries. They were very nice and enjoyed their company. The Winder's were very sweet to invite me into their home like that :) I've always loved that family. After the missionary lessons, Taylor and I decided to do Sunday dinner, round two :) We went to my house where there was homemade spaghetti and meatballs! YUM! Taylor and I started with a bowl of chocolate ice cream though, because that's how we do ;) Then we had some spaghetti and watched one of my favorite movies, Whatever It Takes! After that, we decided to go play some soccer, but by the time we got to the park we were so tired, we just took out a blanket and layed in the grass for like 3 hours. Then we went back to Taylor's house, had Sunday dinner round 3 (the left overs from earlier), watched Bride Wars, and fell asleep! It was a great day!

Sad Day

This is one of my best friends, Christopher Hansen, aka Luke! We've known each other since elementary school and he is beyond amazing. This kid and his family have always treated me like a queen. I can't explain the love I have towards all of them! Luke, about a year ago, was driving my car and was hit by a drunk driver. I freaked out and when I showed up to the scene, I couldn't do anything but hug him. I have never seen this kid that confused, sad, and sorry. I will never forget the image of his face with splattered blood all over it. That night brought us so much closer. My best friend moves to Flagstaff, AZ in like 12 days, and I was supposed to be going with him. He's attending college in the fall at NAU. I was enrolled in the school and was going to go along with him. Last minute, I changed my mind, and Luke got so sad. I really wish I was moving with him. I think we would've had a BA time together! I am going to miss him so so so much! He is one of the greatest people I know! I will definitely be visiting him lots, not only to see him, but to also see his brother that is up there as well. :/ Sad day that everyone is going their seperate ways. I just wish I didn't change my mind about moving to Arizona... :(

I'm thankful for the fact that Taylor and I put our differences aside and stopped all the fighting. I am so happy now! Also, we've decided to show each other we care a little more, and now we email each other lol. It's really cheesey, but kinda cute, and it gives us good practice for his mission lol. In my last email, I attatched this picture along with my letter...

I'm thankful for my phone!! I know I always say I hate it and I'm switching back to my blackberry, but seriously, this thing is my life and I love that it has all my apps and stuff on it. :)

I'm thankful for song covers! I have a new favorite cover at the moment, "Blister in the Sun" by Nauvelle Vague. So sweet :)

I'm thankful for Jersey Shore being back on! GUIDOS ASSEMBLE!

I've had a very boring Thursday, considering I went to bed at 5am, while on the phone with Taylor...apparently I fell asleep..I mean WE fell asleep, on the phone until like 6am. Also, I woke up at 1pm and had to leave for work at 3, and got off at midnight :/ But then Taylor and I got ice cream and went to Wal-Mart. Oh! and leave it to my friends (Garrett, Luke, Jace, and Cierra) to be at Albertsons at 2am getting cookies. But....I guess I'm wierd too, considering I was sitting in the parking lot at 2am eating McDonald's haha.

I miss summer days/nights when you could just get one friend and go to the park, and by the end of the night, without even calling anyone, you would end up with a massive amount of people all hanging out. :/
Growing up sucks. And I especially chose this picture because I REALLY don't want my friend Christopher Luke Hansen to move to Flagstaff without me :'( I'm going to miss him so much.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Today is my best friend Garrett's birthday! He is finally 17!! I am so happy we don't have to sneak into R rated movies anymore haha. So tonight, Taylor and I decided to go decorate his car with balloons, streamers, and window markers! It was cute. Then Taylor took a picture with the car and himself....mooning the camera...we sent it to Garrett's phone knowing he's asleep, so he will definitely be getting a beautiful suprise in the morning :) I love my best friend so much! I hope he has a great day, even though he's working an 11 hour shift...oh well.

Ain't Nothin' Like Them Summer Night's!

I totally love Rachelle Angel! :) I got to hang out with her yesterday for the first time in a little while and it was so fun! We had quite a productive night. First, we went down to the Miracle Mile Shops to my store so I could get some jeans for 60% off, too bad they didn't have my size though :/ Then we went to Victoria Secret and I got 2 pairs of underwear for 54 cents, gotta love being a member :)
After that, we went to do some unfinished business. The other day Taylor and I found mens underwear in the backseat of my car....we figured they were our friend Tony's cause he had a bunch of clothes a few nights ago from being in St. George. So Rachelle and I went to Pizza Hut where Tony works and put the underwear on his windshield with a note that said "Thanks for last night baby, you forgot these though xoxo ;)" haha. He came out and started laughing so hard. Then the 3 of us went to U-Swirl and played "Go Fish" there. Tony kept losing.
After U-Swirl Rachelle and I decided to keep doing stuff to people's cars so we went to my house and made like a million sticky notes that said pick up lines on them, then we went to stick them all over Tay's car so when he got out of work he had something to make him smile :) However, he got off work early so we snuck into his garage while he was showering and put them all over his car :) He came out and saw them and started laughing, then he saw us and we all went to Jack in the Box together.
Rachelle went home and Taylor and I had a sleepover because both of my parents are gone and I hate being at home by myself. It was a very nice day, considering I had to work. Luckily though I only worked 4 hours and it went by super duper fast! :D

I'm thankful for actually having a job, that pays well, with bonuses, that I earned ALL BY MYSELF, without knowing anyone that works there.

I'm thankful for having an amazing boyfriend of one year, 8 months that I can call my best friend. Even though he is leaving me for 2 years to go serve a mission, I know that he will remain a loyal friend to me while he is gone and always care about me.

I'm thankful for George, my car! I'm so happy to finally have my own car. It makes things a lot easier.

I'm thankful for great friends! Tonight we had a Murder Mystery Dinner and it was hilarious!

I'm thankful for living in a town where it is ok to go get a pizza at 3:00 in the morning.

I guess that's it for this week... there is so much more I am thankful for, but as of right now, that's what is on my mind. :)

I've worked here exactly one month today. I like it because it's easy, but I hate it because it's so boring! Time seriously goes by so slowly when we have no customers. I love being on the strip because of all the differen't kinds of people, and it's just cool to say I work at Planet Hollywood...but I hate it because it gets dead and the store is expensive so there's times when no one is shopping.
I think once school starts, I'll look for another job where my hours will work better with my school schedule...That's a good excuse right? ;)

Yay! I meet with the founder of Project Dinner Table on August 25th on Freemont Street thanks to Kloeker! Kevin, you're the best! I am so excited to go talk to someone who is in the position that I would love to be in 10 years from now. :)

This is one of my best friends, Garrett Jones! Let me tell you, he is a LIFE SAVER! Last night was suuuuch a mess. So I was supposed to sleep at my friend Allie's house last night, but I decided I wanted to actually get a good night of sleep because I haven't slept well the past few days. So I went home at about 3 in the morning. I opened up my garage and when I went to walk inside the door was locked! I lost my key about a week ago, so I knew I didn't have it on me. My phone was dead too :/ Sooo...for about 20 minutes I tried looking for ways to get inside of my house...nothing. I didn't want to bang on the door because I really didn't want to scare them, and frankly, I'm not even sure if they would've woken up to it. So anyway, Eli Williams is in town and he's staying at Taylor's house. I knew they were awake, but just to make sure, I sped over to Taylor's house and started looking through the windows. I saw Eli sleeping and Taylor on the computer about to fall asleep. I started wiggling Taylor's doorknob, because you can always hear it from the couch. He looked up and saw me standing at the door. He let me in and I was using his phone until about 4:30, almost 5, trying to call my friends so I can spend the night with them. By this time, it wasn't even an option to call my house because I got in trouble the night before for being out until like 3:30 with Taylor, and I knew calling from his phone at 4am would cause a fight, and make my parents think I was lying about sleeping at Allie's. Anyway, nobody was answering...so I called Garrett! Garrett answered on the first try, let me come over, and gave me a nice bed to sleep in, no questions asked. He's the best and I love him so much. :)

What the AUGUST?!

I can't believe it is already August! Summer is like over in 3 weeks!
I need to make a list to get everything off of my mind. ha.

*There are exactly 100 days until Taylor leaves on his Mission and we are in the middle of the biggest fight we've ever had! :(

*EDC was awesome, I just wish I saw my friends there.

*Hawaii sucked so bad. I wish I had a better time on my first family vacation in so long.

*We went on our second annual Zion trip to the Narrows, I was the only girl, almost fought one of the boys, and nearly froze/starve to death. However, it was an intense adventure. :)

*I'm supposed to be going to South Carolina this weekend with my dad, uncle, and grandparents, but I can't get off of work.

*California road trip Wednesday? Not if we keep fighting like this...

*School starts in like 3 weeks and I am sooo sooo sooooo SOOOO excited!! :D

*I need to find a new genre of music to get into. Everything sucks.

*I need to go to Church. It's been awhile.

*I guess I should start getting ready again in the mornings so I don't get called a guy or get made fun of.
